Tom Makes a very valid point about taking the message to the social media, which is where most people seem to be these days. Social media definitely opens up a lot more avenues unlike stand alone websites. You can only reach that many people with a website but millions, if you are well connected to a few good networks. Jitty Slitter makes a good point. It seems that from what Tom says, businesses should be utilising appropriate social networks and blogs (but in user friendly ways that don’t spam or annoy people)to explore business opportunities since these seem to be where consumers are spending more time hanging out these days.

Fans want news multiple times every single day. Why don’t the pr’s from the clubs just come down to where the fans are and talk to us?

or better yet, build us a snazzy ap ;-)

    Hint Hint Arsenal!

    This was one of …
This was one of those shows, where as an editor, I really had to sit down and question everything I thought I knew. Really, why is everyone continuing to build expensive stand alone websites when all your customers are spending all their time in a handful of social networking sites? If you are not building the aps to connect with them on those platforms, you are nowhere…..
