OMGosh what Cant you get through the mail. ha ha. well there is so much i would start with her area of interest. but then after that i might stick to known names due to it is ur kid but heck i am paranoid because i got no kids now.

personally i like seed catalogs:
http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0oGki05hDFK_6gAAlFXNyoA?p=seed+catalog&fr=b1ie7&fr2=sb-top&sao=1

although these days u can get seeds for SASE
http://www.geocities.com/missbanji/seedswapping.html

and i like science stuff
you'll have to make up a profession for her here
http://www.omeda.com/cgi-win/nasa.cgi?p=NTBWB9
and
http://asiaing.tradepub.com/free/nbt/prgm.cgi
but its upper level stuff u'd never see so kind of neat

local museums, (national) parks, theatres, libraries, etc send newsletters about upcoming events so you would have to know their names to know their sites.

the guys at pueblo also have hundreds of educational booklets from the gov:
http://www.pueblo.gsa.gov/newcat.htm

destination brochures are kind of cool and have neat pix of terrain and local costume:
http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0oGkiMFijFKXS4Bc6dXNyoA?p=destination+brochure&fr=b1ie7&fr2=sb-top&sao=1

i also like catalogs from hobby supply. like model rockets, crafts, horse supply:
http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0oGkxCEmDFKyhsAUuxXNyoA?p=+printed+catalog&fr=b1ie7&fr2=sb-top&sao=0

and i like free samples. like, leefilters sent me really cool gels to shine light thru.

coupons? might help with acquiring shopping/consumer discretion? well at least you know they'd never stop sending them, heh heh. and might be worth it if you already know a certain company or place u frequent.

also u can get her writing to you or her grandma and such. its a different way to communicate..postcards i get for .25 at longsdrugs and thankyou notes..idk how her grandma is but mine stops sending about age ten if she doesn't start to get notes. And there is sites to find penpals in other countries; my kid had one for years in japan. a big part of it was she created her own persona for that person, it was someone no one else from this continent would ever know but also they like to send stickers and such to each other.<br><b>References : </b><br>
