We have been helping his organization with Pay Per Click and SEO and I have been coaching the Perpetual Traffic Formula students along side him.

Last weekend we spoke at the Traffic and Conversion Summit about SEO, Pay Per Click and Mobile Marketing.

Stay tuned for the products we are producing with Ryan and his team on these subjects.

Not to be confused with instant coffee, instant oatmeal and instant gratification, Google launched it’s new Instant Search a few weeks ago.

When you now search for something Google now tries to “predict” what you’re looking for and rather than just give you some suggestions, you can see the results change as you’re typing.

The jury is not out on if this is really an improvement or not. I, personally, don’t like it and have disabled it.

For those of you who don’t like it, you can disable it by clicking to turn it off to the right of your search bar.

There are some in the SEO community that are up in arms, but our testing has not shown this to make a difference in rankings but we suspect that some of the longer search phrases may not be searched as much because of the suggestions.

by Steve

SO What the heck is it??

What remarketing does, is that when people visit your site or a section of your site, that visitor can be “remembered” in your advertising campaign and then even when they visit another site, you can continue to show them your advertisements. For example, someone visits your site, doesn’t buy anything, then visits CNN.com and reads the news. Your advertisement can be one of the advertisements they see at CNN, even though your advertisement is actually only appearing for that visitor. You appear to be “everwhere”, even though you are not spending millions on your marketing campaign.

The power of this for an advertiser I am sure you can start seeing is just enormous, especially in view of the fact that many surveys have shown that you need to touch a person at least 7 times before they will buy anything from you. Remarketing can shorten the customer buying cycle immensely if done correctly.

Doing remarketing incorrectly however, can be kind of creepy, as certain advertisers seem to “stalk” you. But if you are surfing the web and constantly see certain advertisements, it might not be that the advertiser is doing immense national advertising campaigns, but is just retargeting you. Click here to read more.

<g:plusone size="standard" count="true" url="http://www.yadayadamarketing.com/4498/common-mistakes-in-enterprise-pay-per-click/"></g:plusone>

In another article we looked at large scale SEO with Bill Hunt. We also sat down with Eric Enge of Stone Temple Consulting at PubCon, who talked about enterprise PPC.

"There’s some things that change when you get to a very large account, whether it’s greater than 50k a month spend or greater than 100k a month spend, you know, whatever it may be," he tells us. "The campaigns tend to get very complex. You are going to have a very competitive environment. You’re going to have a need for some sort of bid management tool."

"Those tools aren’t enough," he adds. "You can’t just throw the tool in place, set it, and forget it. It doesn’t work that way. It requires a lot of work on top of that."

There are plenty of mistakes and misconceptions about enterprise PPC going around, and that means a lot of missed opportunities. "People don’t realize the way bid management tools work," says Enge. "They use algorithms (that’s probably fairly obvious) to do what they do, and if you think of like a single keyword that’s getting ten conversions a day, it’s pretty easy to measure how much you’re spending and whether you’re making money on it based on what you’re bidding."

"If you want to say you want an ROI of 200%…it goes and does it and you’ll be really close, but in my view, most of your keywords aren’t going to have enough data by themselves and smart solutions…do portfolio management to group them so they can treat groups of keywords as an entity and get something that’s manageable, but even after you’re done with all that, in my own estimate (and it’s not scientific, it’s really just kind of a gut feel thing) is if you go into your campaign and fish around, probably 30% of every bid you look at will be wrong," continues Enge. "It’s a statistical game, but as it turns out, if your goal is to have 200% ROI for your whole campaign, it will get you close to that."

More WebProNews Videos

"You’ve got to be prepared though for the fact that a lot of things will be out of whack," he warns. "And how you can help that and how you can drive it in a variety of ways…is by using human input. You can actually see things, and you can provide guidelines, so a very simple one is implementing negative keywords, which is a fairly obvious thing to do in pay per click, but a lot of people don’t do it."

"It’s really straightforward to do," he points out. "You just have to go into your account, and see which search queries are generating clicks, and you can look at it without any trouble – very quickly be able to recognize things that are generating volume of clicks, and your chances of getting conversion are bupkis."

"Ad optimization is another really big area that people overlook," he says. "What they have to get through their brain is…you have a bunch of smart people sitting in a room, they figure out what the ad is…you put it up…the chances that you picked the best ad…zero. The way you work on that is you test it."

That one might seem obvious too, but a lot of people just don’t do it. Testing can make a world of difference in just about every facet of marketing.

Yea, pay per click IS out of control so if you want quality traffic to your website, I would go ahead and start using a pay per view company like mediatraffic.com or linksador.com. There are others like trafficvance but that company requires minimum deposit of $1000 and you need a referral. Linksador.com traffic is really high quality and I have all my bids for only .01. Mediatraffic is somewhat more expensive because of competition and minimum deposit is $200.

<g:plusone size="standard" count="true" url="http://www.yadayadamarketing.com/2234/how-do-you-make-money-with-google-adwordsdoes-it-really-work/"></g:plusone>

I have seen tons of ads about making money at home through google adwords. They say it is as simple as following a cookbook. Is that true? Has anyone had experiences out there that they can explain how it is so "easy" to make money, with that system? Any other bright ideas, that will not cost me money upfront ?

Great questions! I have also seen and heard a lot of people preach about how easy it is to make money with Google AdWords… What many of them fail to tell you is how much it can cost you if you don’t know what you are doing, or exactly how to do it.

Firstly, to make money with AdWords you need to be selling something, or promoting something from which you will receive a commission. You need to understand, AdWords themselves cost you money, they are simply and advertisement. You make money using them by driving traffic to a product or service.

If you have a website already, you can make money with Google AdSense, but that is another topic in itself.

AdWords are fairly simple and step by step to open and create, however, the best course of action is to research and learn as much as possible before jumping in. Google have their very own training system to help you. Search Google AdWords Professional Training. Best of all it’s free.

All said and done, it is not a quick cash system, but used correctly can be very powerful and profitable.

As for making money without upfront cost, you really need to find a quality product or service to sell or promote, and start by promoting through word of mouth, networks, blogs and articles. Then when you have learnt more about AdWords, try paid advertising such as Pay-Per-Click.

Hope this helps.
